Overall, out of my whole anime list, Hajime No Ippo is the main anime that I have enjoyed the most and has reached the Magna Opus in terms of enjoyment in my own personal anime list.
#Watch hajime no ippo ep 5 full
The soundtrack however is a bit lacking, there is a main theme in battle that happens once the fight happens to turnover to one-side's favour, and it seems as if the same few tracks are the overall soundtrack, however I never took a listen to the full soundtrack myself so I cannot speak much for this regard. The character development overall in this show is fantastic, and very well thought-out and brought to life. Every "villain" or opponent that Ippo has fought in the show has their own backstory and go through character development faster than a few Shonen protagonists and antagonists as well. Takamaru is also very comedic but can be very shallow and intolerant at times, which what makes him my favourite character of the show personally. Ippo is by far the most loveable protagonist I have ever seen in Otaku history, he's comedic in an unintentional fashion, but he's also cunning, observant, generous, and most of all very selfless. The characters are the highlight of the show. One thing I find that people don't appreciate as much is the lighting during the matches, the lighting in these matches is a key part to the atmosphere of the fights, and I found it absolutely phenomenal. The art and animation comes from Madhouse which always brings something spectacular in that regard, so expect fascinating art that captures the Boxing ring and atmosphere. The art style is actually very graphic once the fights get serious, blood gets spat out, noses get crushed, ribs get broken, etc. It seems generic, but throughout the story the clichéness quickly fades away and the story turns into something unique, very endearing. Surely enough, he does, and through a coach, his friends from the Boxing School, and his mother's acceptance, Ippo journeys into the Pro-Boxing world as his love for Boxing begins. Throughout the story) discovers this and decides to train Ippo if he qualified in his eyes. The story is about a High Schooler named Ippo who was bullied by a few thugs, lucky for him a pro-boxer (who turns out to be one of the protagonists Hajime No Ippo is in my eyes, the pinnacle of sports anime/manga, in addition, every Otaku should at least read or watch Hajime No Ippo. I have never enjoyed an anime as much as I have enjoyed Hajime No Ippo, it's a second to Neon Genesis Evangelion in my eyes although they are worlds apart interns of depth, story, etc.
I don't usually write serious reviews but i feel like Hajime No Ippo deserves one. If you havent watched this show all ready its a must if your a sports fan and if not dont worry you will still enjoy this anime. I will say this after the second season (new challanger) the show does dip of form from the first 2 but still a really good watch it just doesnt have the same excitment and the all round season was a let down but if you watch the first 2 seasons you need to go on and watch the 3rd. Im trying to rattle my brain for faults to say but i can honestly say i cant find any bad thing to say, its just a action packed show that is amazing through out. The end of each episode there is a cliff hanger so you will want to go on and watch more. It has everything u want in an anime show it has edge of your seat action, the humor is amazing, the story is outsanding at I will start off by saying that im no into boxing fan at all im actually a white 6ft skinny man from a samll town in scotland but when a came across this anime by looking up sport anime i was moved and nearly falling off my seat with excitment wthin the few episodes off watching this masterpiece. This is my first review on anime and why not start on one of my favourite off all time that is hajime no ippo.
